End of Support for Windows Server 2003
As of July 14, 2015, Microsoft will no longer support Windows Server 2003. What does this mean for businesses still using Server 2003? Similar to when support ended for Windows XP computers, Microsoft will no longer be releasing updates to fixes bugs, security issues, etc. Without these on-going updates it means that your server is more vulnerable than with the updates. Other issues could include non-compliance with HIPPA, PCI, SOX and Dodd-Frank, which all require that regulated industries run on supported platforms. Businesses may also find that they will run into compatibility issues with software and hardware on an unsupported system.
When any system runs out of support it’s prudent to protect valuable business data (financial information, client information, etc.) by updating your system to one that is supported. If you are running Windows Server 2003 and want to start planning an upgrade, we are available to assist you in finding a solution that is right for your business.
